Peter Brock Memorial Cruise
The 18th Annual Peter Brock Memorial Cruise was held on Sunday September 08th.
The event is to celebrate the life of Peter Brock whilst raising funds for a charity.
The event is organized by the Holden Enthusiasts Club of Otago; it started at the Dunedin Ice Stadium and finished at the Arc Brewery in Evansdale. 92 cars took part, along with over 200 people, which was a record for the 18 years the event has been running. The cars ranged from normal family cars, hotrods, classics, Holden, Ford and European brands. The day raised $1,160 for K9 Medical Detection.
When asked why K9MD had been chosen as this year’s charity, the organizer Conan Mitchell said “Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way. K9MD is local, we know they are advancing early cancer detection, and we were more than happy to do our bit in supporting their amazing work.”
