How can I help K9 Medical Detection N.Z.?

Fundraising is the backbone of many charities. It creates a sense of community giving its participants something tangible to which they can relate. They can see the results of their hard work and feel like they are doing something good in the world. Whether through schools, businesses or community groups, giving back through fundraising allows you to assist a cause that is close to your heart and make an important difference.

How can we improve the early detection of cancer?

K9 Medical Detection N.Z. mission is to improve the health of all kiwis by using genetically selected dogs working in a controlled clinical environment to assist in the early detection of cancer and other diseases. Too many kiwis are losing their life to cancer each year. Early detection of cancers can enhance the success of treatment and the cure rate. 

When it comes to the lives of New Zealanders, every minute counts.

Just like your time matters, so does theirs. In New Zealand, every 48 hours, a woman dies from ovarian cancer, every week, 23 men and women die from bowel cancer, while 650 men will die from prostate cancer this year. What would those people do with a few extra hours, weeks, months, or years? K9MD would like to see us make a change and give back to kiwis with cancer the gift of time by helping with early detection. Whether it’s half a day, or a few hours, donating your time could help extend theirs.
