Weta

Weta comes from Heisenberg Kennels. Her genetics are from some of the most sought-after working dog lines in Europe.  The Heisenberg Kennels dogs are well known for their stability, great temperaments and strong work ethic.

Weta is with K9MD's Bowel Cancer Detection Squad and has completed her Proof of Concept validation.  Held over 5 consecutive days under strict conditions Weta checked 300 samples and achieved world class success with 100% sensitivity (correctly identifying all samples with Bowel Cancer and 100% specificity (correctly ignoring all samples that did not contain cancer).

Weta is now in the Diagnostic Test Accuracy stage where we anticipate her completing a validation in late 2026.

Weta has the perfect work life balance. She lives on a farm with K9MD's Founder, along with Levi and Hunter.
