Ace

Ace - Pheasant Run Biscuit

Springer Spaniel, ACE, has been an excellent addition to the K9MD Canine Team. He has joined our Prostate Cancer Detection Dog Team and has now completed his Proof of Concept Validation with our Junior Handler. Held over 5 consecutive days under strict conditions, checking 300 samples Ace achieved success of 90% sensitivity (correctly identifying samples positive to Prostate Cancer) and 97% specificity (correctly ignoring all samples that did not have cancer).  

 We look forward to Ace commencing his Diagnostic Test Accuracy stage using patient urine samples in 2024. 

When not working in K9MD's training centre Ace enjoys nothing more than a run and play on the beach.
